I’m a little late finishing this one, but it’s another solid volume of stories, visual art, and interviews from Mystery Tribune. A few personal favorites from the ToC were Hester Young’s emotionally apocalyptic “What Burns Beneath,” as well as the timely and spellbinding “Nickel City Sanctuary” by Gary Earl Ross. But perhaps the most perplexing mystery discovered within the mag’s second anniversary issue: why did Nick Kolakowski’s “The Good Tool,” a clever tale of reprogrammable drone assassins, remind me of so many day jobs I’ve had over the years…
