Dan J. Fiore is a freelance copywriter, author, editor, and creative director based in Pittsburgh, where he’s lived for the past thirteen years. He was born and raised in rural southwest Pennsylvania.

Previously published by Mystery Tribune, DarkFuse, and Thuglit, among others, his work has been awarded grand prize in the 82nd annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition as well as Pittsburgh Filmmakers’ 2009 First Works Grant. As a copywriter and creative director, he’s worked with brands both big and small from all over the world.

Before building a career in marketing and advertising, Dan cut his teeth in the journalism industry. He now holds an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University and a BA in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh.

He’s currently finishing up his new novel, Cold Dead Hearts, based on the LitReactor challenge-winning story “Heart.”
